An elite military rescuer and former agent of the Claw, Baptiste now uses his skills to help those hit hardest by the war.

Jean-Baptiste Augustin was one of the thirty million orphans left behind by the Omnium Crisis. With few opportunities and resources, he joined the military. The Caribbean Coalition, an island army formed in response to the crisis, became his new family. Guided by a deep desire to help people, Baptiste chose to follow the path of a military rescuer and served in the Caribbean Coalition's Special Forces.

Once his service was complete, Baptiste struggled to find ways to put his skills to use. He accepted one of the few opportunities available to him, to join a group of mercenaries from the Claw, one of the many organizations dedicated to profiting from the post-conflict chaos.

For the first time, Baptiste got a taste of the easy life. The Claw's missions were simple and paid well, and he was able to save money to open a clinic in his home town. But gradually, the orders his unit received became more brutal and escalated into assassinations and collateral civilian casualties. Confronted with the actions of his team, Baptiste realized that he was perpetuating a cycle of violence identical to the one that had destroyed his own community. He left the Claw, disgusted by his actions and determined to make a new path for himself.

But the Claw wasn't ready to let him go. Baptiste knew too much. So the organization sent agents to silence him. One after another, they came, including Baptiste's former teammates. To avoid detection, Baptiste often traveled to the four corners of the globe while working in humanitarian relief. The few members of the Claw who were able to locate him never resurfaced.

Today, Baptiste works to make the world a better place, providing care to those in need and confronting those who deserve it. He knows he can't go back to the past, but making a difference is all that matters to him now.
