History of Hanzo

By mastering his techniques as an archer and assassin, Hanzo Shimada seeks to prove himself an unrivaled warrior.

The history of the Shimada family goes back centuries. This clan of assassins has grown in influence over the years to become a vast criminal empire reaping profits from the sale of weapons and illegal substances. As the first son of the head of the family, Hanzo had the duty to succeed his father and rule the Shimada empire. He was trained from an early age for this responsibility and showed great leadership skills and an innate sense of strategy and tactics. He also excelled in the more pragmatic areas of martial arts, fencing and archery.

When his father died, the clan elders demanded that Hanzo take his rebellious brother in hand, so that he too could take part in the leadership of the Shimada empire. His brother refused to listen to reason and Hanzo was forced to kill him. His heart was broken and he rejected his father's legacy, eventually abandoning the clan and all that he had worked so hard for.

Hanzo now travels the world perfecting his martial skills, hoping to restore his honor and chase away the ghosts of his past.
