History of Zarya
Aleksandra Zaryanova is one of the strongest women in the world, a renowned athlete who sacrificed her personal glory to protect her family, friends and country in times of war.
Aleksandra was born in a remote village in Siberia, on the front lines of the Omnium crisis that began some 30 years ago. Although the Russian army managed to defeat the robots and neutralize the Siberian Omnium, the region was devastated by the conflict. Aleksandra, then just a child, grew up amidst the post-war destruction and vowed to gain the strength to help her people recover.
Now an accomplished weightlifter and bodybuilder, Aleksandra was spotted by the national Olympic program as a potential star. Through rigorous training, she rose through the ranks representing her country, and was expected to surpass all existing records at the upcoming world championships.
But on the eve of the tournament, the Siberian omnium came out of its long hibernation to orchestrate an attack and her village was once again in the middle of the war. Aleksandra immediately abandoned the competition to return home and enlist in the local defense forces, sacrificing the life of fame and fortune that awaited her.
She is now in the military: a symbol to some, a comrade in arms to others. But by her own admission, she finally has the chance to put her prodigious physical strength to work for those she loves
